The way of teaching and learning has continuously changed. However the COVD 19 Pandemic has forced many educators to drastically change their way of teaching and more teaching is on-line or by using tools like Zoom, Webex and GoToMeeting.
This way of teaching has set new demand for textbooks, teacher’s presentations, teaching material and how to prepare the students for each lecture.
The “conference” learning put more pressure on the teacher and more stress on the students.
The students need to be more prepared for each lecture and to have the first understanding of each subject before class start. One way is to prepare a video on each subject. See example at our Free Video Seminars

The reason to give you some text samples is that it is important to have the teacher’s presentation following the content in the book so it is easy to follow and make notes. However, the PPT presentations should have more illustrations and complement the book. (For obvious reasons I cannot include a sample of the teacher’s package here) I will be happy to share if you contact me, put under What Topic: “Teaching material”
The book and the teacher’s material must have real-life examples to exemplify each topic. The students should also be given group works to solve. They can in smaller groups using e.g. Zoom debate and design a solution and then in a larger connection show and discuss with the teacher and the other students their solution. You have to practice what you learn and it is better to do mistakes in class than when out working for companies.

The new way of teaching is here to stay and you as teachers have to adapt to this reality. If you do not have textbooks and teaching material to fit the new reality you have to find it or design it.
